Drew Pickles new video has got great color, lines galore and killer music from shakey graves

I’m not sure if I’ve seen any of Drew Pickles’ videos but this definitely falls into the upper ranks of the scene report. It’s got the right balance between local rippers and giving the homies with a stiff style some shine (somewhere in that classic 80/20 ratio) and for whatever reason the color really stands out. It’s not trippy or weird or anything like that, it’s just bright and clear. As with every video that comes out now the biggest disappointment is the lack of names when someone comes on screen. There’s some killer clips in here of people that I want to see more of but I guess I’ll just have to randomly watch Texas videos to get it figured out. Regardless the Guru Khalsa line was a treat, the BMX stuff is unexpected and cool and some standout clips for me were: manual guy at 3:17 ; the kid skating fast and smooth at the DIY spot at 3:32; the heelflip line at 4:46 and the whole bump-to-traffic-cone section; the ledge line at 6:00 (is that heelflip guy as well?); and the crazy line at 6:27.

The biggest surprise here is that there’s an Austin Amelio part (Dwight from The Walking Dead / FTWD). He’s had some random clips in No-Comply shop videos over the years but hasn’t put out a real part in a decade. Given the demands of acting and aging I didn’t expect him to have another one but while every other actor was going ham on livestreams and podcasts he was out getting clips. Dude not only still rips but hasn’t even shifted gears to mid-30’s low-impact ledge skating yet. Good for him.
